At SyncDialect, privacy is not a feature; it is the fundamental architectural principle of our application. This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which SyncDialect collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users.

1. Principle of Zero Data Exfiltration

SyncDialect is designed as a 100% offline application. Our core commitment to you is that your conversational data never leaves your physical device.

• We do not operate remote servers that process your audio.
• We do not upload your voice recordings to the cloud.
• We do not store transcripts of your conversations on any external database.

2. Microphone Permissions & Data Processing

In order to provide real-time voice translation, SyncDialect requires explicit access to your device's Microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO).

How audio is processed:

When you activate the microphone, the audio is captured into volatile memory (RAM) and immediately fed into our on-device machine learning models (powered by Google ML Kit and MediaPipe). The audio is transcribed to text, translated, and immediately discarded from memory. No audio files are ever saved to your device's local storage or transmitted externally.

3. Network Access & Language Packs

While the translation engine operates offline, SyncDialect requires internet access (android.permission.INTERNET) exclusively for the following administrative purposes:

• Downloading Language Packs: To provide translation capabilities, the app downloads mathematical language models from Google ML Kit servers.
• Downloading Large Language Models (LLMs): The app may download advanced generative models (like Gemma) directly from verified repositories such as Hugging Face.

During these downloads, standard HTTP request metadata (such as your IP address) is visible to the respective hosting providers (Google, Hugging Face). However, SyncDialect does not attach any personally identifiable information, account data, or conversational data to these requests.

4. Analytics and Telemetry

We do not integrate third-party analytics trackers (such as Google Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics) into the SyncDialect application. We have zero visibility into how often you use the app, what languages you translate, or what errors you encounter.

5. Children's Privacy

Because we do not collect any personal information, SyncDialect is inherently safe for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
